Once you have completed a few walkthroughs, the Analyze Data page turns them into a clear picture of instruction across your school or district. It is one of Education Walkthrough’s most used features. Here is how to get the most from it.
Analytics or a report?
Both live under Analyze Data, and it helps to know which one you want.
- Analytics is the live view. It updates as new walkthroughs come in, and it is built for exploring and filtering while you think.
- Reports are snapshots. A report is a PDF of the data as it stood the day you made it, built to share or keep.

Getting to Your Data
From the Walkthroughs page on the web dashboard, click Analyze Data. Choose a date range and a template, and click Submit. Click More Filters to also filter by specific teachers or observers. Selecting a single template unlocks the full set of views; with All Templates selected you get the summary only, since different templates ask different questions. If you have set up groups, they appear at the top of the Teachers/Groups filter so you can analyze a whole cohort at once, see How to Create and Use Groups.
Summary
The headline numbers for the period: total walkthroughs completed, average duration, and unique teachers observed, plus charts of activity over time and who completed the observations. Use it for a quick pulse check or to open a leadership meeting.
Results
The question-by-question breakdown, viewable by question or by department. Each question shows its answer distribution as a pie chart or bar graph. This is where “are learning targets posted?” gets a percentage instead of a hunch.
Crosstable
Questions and answers side by side in one table, best for scanning patterns across the whole template at once. More in Results Tab vs. Crosstable Tab.
Sharing what you find
Analytics is built for looking, not for handing over. When you want something you can share with a principal, take into a leadership meeting, or keep on file, create a report instead. A report is a PDF snapshot of the data that does not change after you make it. See How to Create a Report.

How many walkthroughs do I need before analytics are useful?
Trends firm up as data accumulates, but even a handful of walkthroughs will show answer distributions. Weekly walks build a meaningful picture within a month or two.
Can teachers see the analytics?
School-wide analytics are for administrator roles. Teachers receive their individual reports, and School Staff logins see only their own walkthroughs.
