Education Walkthrough has updated its process for resuming a walkthrough that’s in draft status— you now have even more control over your observation timer. This product enhancement gives you the option to resume your walkthrough timer when editing your draft.
While editing, simply select the ‘Resume Timer’ option to continue tracking your observation time seamlessly, ensuring that your timing remains accurate and tailored to your workflow. This feature is especially useful in the following scenarios:
1. Stepping Out and Returning: If you need to step out of the classroom temporarily and then continue your observation, selecting Resume Timer will continue timing from where you left off.
2. Editing Before Final Submission: If you complete the classroom observation form but want to add or revise comments without the timer running, choosing Pause Timer will allow you to make your edits without additional time being recorded.
How to Resume a Walkthrough in Draft Status

1. Log into your Education Walkthrough account.
2. Navigate to the Walkthroughs page.
3. Find the walkthrough you want to resume, and click the orange Finish button (if there are a lot of walkthroughs in the Walkthrough table, try using the Search or Filters feature to locate the walkthrough you want to finish).
4. A prompt will appear asking if you’d like to Pause Timer (make edits without the timer running), or Resume Timer (begin the timer where you left off).
The screen will read: “Would you like to resume the timer? To begin the timer where you left off, please choose Resume Timer. To make edits without the timer running choose Pause Timer.”

If you click Pause timer, the draft through is now in editable mode, but the timer will remain the same, even if you make adjustments to your answers or comments.

If you choose Resume timer, the timer will begin where you left off.
Choose the option that best fits your needs.
Once you make your selection, you can continue editing, or resuming the walkthrough accordingly.
FAQs
What does the Resume Timer option do?
The Resume Timer option continues the timer from where you left off, which is ideal if you temporarily stepped out of the classroom and need to resume your observation, or f a technical error occurs which causes you to leave the walkthrough.
When should I choose Pause Timer?
Choose Pause Timer if you want to make further edits—such as updating comments or adjusting answers—without the timer running, ensuring no additional time is recorded.
Can I switch between the options once I’ve made a choice?
Once you select either Resume Timer or Pause Timer and continue editing, the choice is applied. If you need to change it, you’ll need to start the process again from the walkthrough draft.
Will my previously recorded time be affected?
If you select ‘Pause Timer’ it will preserve the time already recorded, and your walkthrough details will be adjusted accordingly. If you select ‘Resume Timer’ it will pickup where the previously recorded time left off.
